Ngāti Hine Health Trust owns and manages kaumātua housing, houses and flats in Moerewa. We also offer access to an emergency house in Kawakawa.
Houses, flats and accommodation are rented out to whānau in our community at affordable rates. We can assist people with transitional housing and emergency housing placements.
The Rapid Rehousing programme assists individuals and whānau who are or have become suddenly homeless.
Support is provided to help families return to permanent housing and prevent homelessness from recurring.
Our Sustaining Tenancies support service helps people get everything they need to move into a new rental property and supports them in maintaining their tenancies.
Our team can and often refer tenants who need access to our other services.
External, internal and community referrals are all accepted.
Rapid Rehousing helps individuals and whānau quickly exit homelessness and get back into permanent housing. Once they’re back in stable housing, it also provides support to help them maintain their tenancies and avoid a return to homelessness.

Provision of transitional Housing as we navigate whānau into permanent housing
For individuals, families and whānau who; are sleeping rough, or in other places not designed for habitation (eg: cars) for a total of 12 months or more in the past three years. Have high or complex support needs. Need intensive on-going support services to help them stay housed. Housing First helps get people who have been experiencing homelessness for at least a year back into permanent housing. Once they're in stable housing, it also provides tailored support for as long as necessary to help them stay in their homes and deal with the underlying issues that led to their homelessness.
To support vulnerable tenants to retain their tenancy and address needs and concerns that are putting their tenancy at risk.
Engaging with people who are experiencing homelessness into permanent housing whilst providing tailored supports to sustain their tenancy and address underlying issues that led to their homelessness Housing First helps get people who have been experiencing homelessness for at least a year back into permanent housing.
